This is where it all began.... staying in a hotel in a familiar city about to embark on an amazing adventure it was very sureal. Here we had what we call ¨Staging¨, a orientation on what we were about to expeience and a review of the dos and donts. (Which by the way, I get kicked out if I ride a motorcycle so don´t expect any stories to come about that in the next two years.) Although I was exhausted (you know I only got 2 hrs of sleep the night before I left) it was a great opportunity to meet the other 33 ¨soon to be¨ volunteers going to Peru. Finally, we all had someone else to talk to that was going through the same things we all were. We have 15 guys and 19 girls. Everyone is ages 20-29 except for one guy in his 50s, and one in his 60s. We also have two married couples. Everyone seemed really friendly and excited to get on our way.
